Symptoms of ADHD – Neurons, please stop vibrating and let me concentrate. It is the first thing about every ADHD survivor. But, it’s not easy to focus and to be attentive all day. –said by an ADHD patient. Well, it happens with anyone in kids that affects the age of adulthood. 

 

So, what is ADHD?

It’s a condition of impulsive and hyperactive behavior in which you’re not able to concentrate easily. Even a person with ADHD can’t sit still for the entire day and can’t accomplish the given tasks. 

 

In this condition, kids distract easily, even on minor things. They can be very impulsive or can’t be able to focus and learn. 

 

What are the symptoms of ADHD?

We can divide the symptoms into 3 groups:

  • Hyperactivity

  • Having poor decision-making skills on time. 
  • Restlessness and having a lack of concentration during work.
  • Talk a lot and disturb the surrounding people. 

 

Inattention

  • Lack of concentration and focus. 
  • Having poor listening skills. 
  • Poor organizing skills. 
  • Forgetfulness
  • Missing appointments forget minor things or talks. 
  • Dizziness and having less attention to following the rules. 

 

Impulsivity

  • Having impatience and hard to find proper concentration and focus. 
  • Beginning the conversation at an inappropriate time. 
  • Continuously asking questions. 
  • Disturbs the meeting and interrupts people while talking. 
  • Having plenty of unnecessary problems and queries. 

 

What are the medications for ADHD?

Well, it is important to consult with your neurologist for the right medication for it. However, various treatments reduce the symptoms of ADHD and makes you feel relaxed and calm. 

 

Therefore, stimulant medication can calm the central nervous system and helps you to concentrate better during work. 

 

The stimulant medication divided into two types: 

  • Methylphenidates     Short act- Focalin, Ritalin
  • Long act- Focalin XR, Ritalin LA, Daytrana patch, Concerta   
  • Amphetamines 
    • Short act- Adderall 
    • Long act- Mydayis, Vyvanse, Adderall XR

 

These are the prescribed medication that reduces the condition of hyperactive and impulsive behavior. 

 

What is another way to treat ADHD?

  • In kids, try to practice them to solve logical tasks that reduce the distractions.
  • Workout daily tries to accomplish daily sets. 
  • Eat rich proteins or fish oils. 
  • Meditate daily at least for 15 minutes a day. 
  • Consult your therapist.
